WE NEED A REVIVAL OF CONCERN FOR THE LOST!

People without Christ are lost!
They will spend an eternity in hell without Christ!
We must witness to them of their need of Christ as their Savior and their only hope!

  • · Fifty-seven per cent of our nation belong to some kind of church.
  • · Ten per cent of them cannot be located.
  • · Twenty per cent never attend.
  • · Forty per cent never give.
  • · Sixty per cent never attend prayer meeting.
  • · Seventy per cent never give their testimony.
  • · Eighty per cent do not tithe.
  • · Ninety per cent have never been instrumental in bringing a person to the Lord Jesus.

God, The Greatest Giver

It's Christmas again!
It's the time to give and receive gifts.
Man has learned all that he knows about giving from God.
God is in the giving business.

  • · God gave Adam and Eve a piece of skin from an innocent animal
to replace the fig leaves to cover their shame of nakedness.
  • · God gave Noah a plan for the ark that would provide for the saving of his household
      when judgment came.
  • · God gave Abraham a promise concerning his seed.
It would be as the sands of the sea, the dust of the ground,
and as the stars of the sky.
  • · God gave Sarah a precious miracle child in her old age, and she named him Isaac.
He became a mighty man of God.
  • · God gave Isaac the promised ram to take his place on the sacrificial altar on Mount Moriah as Abraham
      raised the dagger.
  • God gave Jacob the privilege to father twelve sons who were destined to become heads
of the 12 tribes of Israel, the people of the Lord.
  • · God gave Joseph a position as prime minister in Egypt that he might rescue his own from the terrible famine
      in the days ahead.
  • · God gave Moses the power to work miracles before Pharaoh and prove that God's hand was still with his own.
  • · God gave Joshua the proposition to cross the Jordan and lead the armies of Israel to victory in Canaan.
  • · God gave the Israelites possession of the land flowing with milk and honey.
  • · God gave kings to preside over his chosen people and blessed those who walked in his ways.
  • · God gave prophets to plead with His people and tell them of amazing things to come.
  • · God gave the scriptures to prophesy of a Messiah, a Prophet, a Priest, a King, and a Saviour who would
      come to deliver and save.
  • · God gave the shepherds a pronouncement by the angels that Jesus was born.
  • · God gave the wise men a preview by a star to lead them to the young child with their gifts.
  • · God gave Bethlehem the preeminence of all cities of the earth. It was there that Jesus was born.
  • · God gave Joseph the patience to understand the strange circumstances of a virgin with child.
  • · God gave Mary the present coveted by all girls of Jewish history – the Christ child.
  • · God gave the world the Prince of Peace, the answer to all ills, of all time, in all places.
  • · God gave Jesus the place of sinners on the cross to bear the sorrow and shame.
  • · God gave all men pardon for their sins that they might know the joy of everlasting life.

He’s Coming Back

Jesus will come again!

 We must be ready!
"Be on guard! Be alert!" He said. "You do not know when that time will come.
It’s like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with his assigned task,
and tells the one at the door to keep watch.
" (Mark 13:33-34)

On one of his expeditions to the Antarctic, the famous explorer, Sir Ernest Shackleton was forced
to leave some of his men on Elephant Island.
He promised to come back for them, but severe weather thwarted his first two attempts at rescue.
On a much-delayed third effort, he navigated to the island where the hardy souls had been holed up.

He was overjoyed to find them all alive.
Every man in the group grabbed his gear as soon as Shackleton appeared and boarded the ship.
When they were out of the most treacherous waters, the group’s commander asked how it was
that each man had been fully prepared to leave at the instant he arrived.

He was told that every morning of their harrowing ordeal had started with their leader rolling up
his own sleeping bag and shouting, "Get your things together, boys. The boss may come today."

I Am A Prayer Warrior

“I’m A Prayer Warrior!”

“We must make a commitment to pray.
The average believer is not willing to make the kind of commitment that is needed.

I want to be blown away by the presence of God!
I want to be blown away by the power of God!

We must become prayer warriors.
In the army of God as for me – this  is my commitment.

I am a prayer warrior.
I am a soldier in the army of my God.
The Lord Jesus Christ is my commanding officer and the Bible is my code of conduct.

Faith and the Word and prayer are my weapons of warfare.
I have been taught by the Holy Spirit -- trained by experience, tried by adversity, and tested by fire.
And I'm a volunteer in this army and I am enlisted for eternity.
I'll either retire in this army at the rapture or die in this army.

But I will not get out!
I will not sellout, and I will not be talked out.

I am faithful, capable and dependable.
If my God needs me I am there.
I am a soldier!
I'm a prayer warrior.

 I'm not a baby.
I don't need to be pampered, petted, primed up, pumped up, picked up or pepped up.
I am a soldier – a prayer warrior!

No one has to call me, remind me, write me, visit me, entice me, or lure me.
I'm a soldier!
I am a prayer warrior!
I'm not a wimp!

I am in place saluting my king, obeying his orders, praising His name, and building his kingdom.
I am a soldier -- a prayer warrior!.

No one has to send me flowers, gifts, food, cards, candy, or give me handouts.
I don't need to be cuddled, cradled, cared for or catered to.
I am committed!
I cannot have my feelings hurt bad enough to turn me around.
I cannot be discouraged enough to turn me aside.
I cannot lose enough to cause me to quit.
 I'm a soldier!
A prayer warrior!

When Jesus called me into this army -- I had nothing, and if I end up with nothing – I still come out even.
I will win!
My God shall supply all of my needs.
I am more than a conqueror.
I will always triumph because I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
I am a soldier!
I am a prayer warrior!

Devils cannot defeat me!
People cannot disillusion me!
Weather cannot weary me!
Sickness cannot stop me!
Battles cannot beat me!
Money cannot buy me!
Governments cannot silence me, and hell can't handle me.

 I'm a soldier!
I am a prayer warrior!

Not even death cannot destroy me.
When my Commander calls me from this battlefield,
He's going to promote me to heaven.
And I will live and love and rule with Him forever.

I'm a soldier!
I'm a prayer warrior in this army.
I'm marching!
I'm claiming victory!

I will not give up!
I will not turn around!
I am a soldier!
I am a prayer warrior marching heaven-bound.

Here I stand!
Who will stand with me?  Will you?

When a church takes seriously its opportunity to pray we will be blown away the presence of God.
God is here now!

Are you aware of His presence?”

Then Ask!

“Ye shall ask what ye will and it shall be done for you.”

He doesn't speak of what we, ourselves, should be enabled to do, but of what should be done unto us.
He doesn't say, " Strength shall be given you and you will be sufficient for all your religious activities.
He does not say, " If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall do spiritual things."
He says: " YE SHALL ASK!"

   ·   Do you long to be completely filled with His Spirit? Then ask!
     ·   Do you seek to be holy? Then ask!
     ·   Do you want patience? Then ask!
     ·   Do you want to bear the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, etc.? Then ask!
     ·   Do you want to overcome the world? Then ask!
     ·   Do you need the Son to ripen your fruit? Then ask?
     ·   Is the dew or the rain needed? Then ask?

The Father wants to give these things!
Ask!
God will not overlook your work and labor of love.

Which Religion?

Which Would You Prefer?

     ·   The best Confucius has for the person who is sinking is,
           "Profit by your experience."

     ·   The most hopeful message that Buddha provides is,
           "Struggle."

     ·   The most encouraging teaching of Hinduism for the sinking person is,
“ You may have another opportunity in the next incarnation."

     ·   Mohammed would say, "Whether you sink or whether you survive,
it is the will of God."

But Jesus says to that same person, "Take my hand!"
In John 14:6, Jesus declares, " I am the way, the truth, and the life..."

When The Spirit Comes

God will fill us with His Holy Spirit.
And, when this happens:
     ·   Little sins will no longer be tolerated, but will be confessed and forsakened.
     ·   Broken fellowship will be repaired.
     ·   Hearts will become super-sensitive to the slightest sin that has not been confessed and forgiven.

     ·   There will be a new sense of urgency about spiritual things.

     ·   We will want to tell every one about Jesus.
     ·   We will see that so much of our service has been done in the flesh.
     ·   We will see that self has intruded even into holy things.
     ·   We will see that it is I who made the plans, I, not the Lord.
     ·   We will see that we have been trying to do God's work for Him; by our efforts.

When God's Spirit fills us:

Conduct that has always seemed acceptable will be seen as unbelievably wicked.
Prejudices that have characterized professing Christians for years will be seen for the grievous sins they really are.
Words carelessly spoken will rise from their forgotten graves to haunt and torment us until God has forgiven us
and we are right with our brethren.
Long-forgotten sins against members of the body of Christ will be remembered with grief.

So powerful will be the conviction of sin that those who thought themselves worthy of heaven will stand in wonder
and amazement that they are not already burning in the fires of hell.

And from the depth of our being will come the cry: " O God, save me from my self and sin; from my wickedness
and depravity; or slay me, but do not let me persist another day in this awful condition."

And all the demons in hell and all the servants of wickedness on earth will not have the power to keep
awakened sinners from consecrated and devoted love to the Lord Jesus.

After we are filled: God's timing, God's purposes, God's plans will rule and direct our lives.
And all that stands in resistance before Him will be broken and cast aside.
Even more glorious, we will find ourselves enabled to do what God has called us to do.
